EDUCATION AND TRAINING

After taking several psychology courses during my B.A. degree at Harvard, I obtained my Masters and Doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology at Boston University in 1980. My predoctoral training was as a clinical staff member at a mental health center, a health clinic and a high school in the Boston area.  My postdoctoral training was at Seattle Mental Health Institute, where I served as Supervisor of Emergency Services and worked in a day treatment program with young adults and their families. I passed the oral and written examination by the Washington State Examining Board of Psychology in 1981.  I have updated my knowledge and skills regularly since then, as is required by law to keep my Psychology license active.
